Grants to Ohio nonprofit organizations and government agencies in eligible locations for community benefit projects. Focus areas may include education, healthcare, senior citizens, nutrition, hunger, children's welfare, community outreach, and beautification. Eligible projects must benefit the citizens of Nelsonville and the surrounding areas, including Athens, Hocking, Meigs, Morgan, Perry, Vinton, and Washington Counties.

Priority will be given to projects that:

  • Comply with the mission and values of RCIF, the Athens County Foundation, and the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation of Nelsonville
  • Incorporate new approaches to current or emerging needs
  • Encourage cooperation among organizations and avoid duplication of services
  • Show the organization’s ability to leverage additional funds

- Individuals
- Endowments
- Budget deficits
- Scholarships
- Religious purposes
- Political or legislative action groups
- Support or promotion of specific points of view on right-to-life and pro-choice issues
- Annual fundraising drives

Pre-Application Information:

Grants are awarded twice a year to registered non-profit organizations that positively impact local communities.

All Applications must be postmarked or received by October 15, 2021 to be considered.

Decisions on all grants will be made and recipients will be notified after December 1, 2021.
