Grants of up to $30,000 to Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana nonprofit organizations and government agencies in eligible counties to promote educational and professional equity. Funding is intended to support in-school or after-hours programs that help to reduce disparities in educational and career attainment for students of color and/or those of low socioeconomic status, or increase social-emotional learning and health for those students.

Eligible organizations will serve the Greater Cincinnati region: Hamilton, Butler, Warren, and Clermont counties in Ohio; Boone, Kenton, and Campbell counties in Kentucky; and Dearborn county in Indiana.

Funding may be used to support, expand, or strengthen existing programs, capital improvements, launch a new program, build organizational capacity, or general operating support. Collaboration between like organizations is highly favored.

Preference will be given to:

  • Organizations that develop solutions with a racial equity lens
  • Proposals with clear and measurable outcomes that address:
    • Anticipated improvement of educational achievement and/or career outcomes
    • Key factors influencing educational outcomes (e.g. attendance, discipline reduction, classroom management, etc.).
  • Organizations that have demonstrated partnerships, collaboration, and/or alignment with community-wide efforts
  • Organizations that have demonstrated insights from past results
  • Organizations using an asset-based approach to the work.

Proposals will be accepted from any organization that meets these criteria and aligns strongly with the details of this RFP.
